4 Ways to Get Through Exams

It is universally known that very few people do well in exams if they do little to no preparation but panic not, ADL has you covered. Here are four small tips to help get you, not only through your exams, but with an excellent grade too!

Don't Give Up written on lined paper1. Motivate yourself

I know, easier said than done. Even doing chores seems more exciting than studying, but plan what you need to revise each day with adequate breaks and reward yourself when you have achieved your goal! A study suggests that simple things like telling yourself "keep going" and "you can do it" while you're revising really do help to keep you going and sidetracks the impulse to give up!

2. Have a good night's sleepCat Sleeping in cosy blanket

It will help you to retain information. Sleep well by avoiding caffeine and alcohol, exercise well and stop revising at least an hour before you plan to go to sleep so you have time to unwind. Turning up to your exam tired is a sure way to stress you out further!

When we think of exam revision we often think of ourselves sitting at a desk, buried in mountains of textbooks and notepad sheets. This can often put us off revising, but why not make it fun? Revision Charades, anyone?

4. Remember why you're revisingLive your dream in scrabble tiles over cork

Yes, you want to pass your exam, but think of the end goal. Whether you're trying to progress educationally or financially or you simply love learning, keeping focused will help.
