A director of ADL recently had the opportunity to discuss issues in education with a leading UK government minister.  Daryl Tempest-Mogg, ADL’s Director of Vocational Studies, attended a social event at the historic Knowlton Court, near ADL’s home city of Canterbury in Kent.  In attendance was Nicky Morgan M.P, the Education Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities. 

The Rt Hon Nicky Morgan was in attendance at the event to speak on the changes happening across the UK education sector.  Later in the event, Director Tempest-Mogg had the opportunity to speak to the Education Secretary in his position as a representative of the British distance learning education sector to discuss matters relating to the promotion of UK quality education abroad. 

Nicky Morgan is the elected representative to parliament for Loughborough and was elected in 2005.  She was appointed to her current posts of Secretary of State for Education and post of Minister for Women and Equalities by Prime Minister David Cameron in July 2014. 

Daryl Tempest-Mogg is one of the founders of the Academy for Distance Learning, which has provided quality education to UK standards to global learners for over five years. He has over 30 years’ experience in the education sector, with a special interest in distance learning schools and Academies.  Together with his brother, Dr Brenden Tempest-Mogg, he founded ADL in 2009.
