LEVELS – What Our Levels Mean!

BENCHMARK
There are two qualification systems:

UK – FHEQ, the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications.

EUROPE – EQF, the European Qualifications Framework.

Due to the nature of these two systems, courses deemed to be of university study level will receive dual bench-marking against these two frameworks; courses deemed to be below this level will be bench-marked against the EQF only.

TLHs = Total Learning Hours

CERTIFICATE:  (1 x 100 hour module)

Level 4, 10 credits – UK – Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ)

PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE:
(2 x 100 hour modules)

Level 5
200 TLHs – European Qualifications Framework (EQF)

Level 4 10 credits UK – Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ)

ADVANCED CERTIFICATE: (4 x 100 hr modules)
Level 5
400 TLHs – European Qualifications Framework (EQF)

Level 4 40 credits – UK – Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ)

DIPLOMA:  (6 x 100 hour modules)
Level 5
600 TLHs – European Qualifications Framework (EQF)

Level 5

60 credits – UK – Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ)

ADVANCED DIPLOMA: (8 x 100 hour modules)
Level 6
800 TLHs – European Qualifications Framework (EQF)

Level 6
80 credits – UK – Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ)

HIGHER ADVANCED DIPLOMA (12 x 100 hour modules)
