Why Accreditation?
On July 11th, 2025, ADL was accredited by the International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC), achieving a 4 star rating. IEAC is based in the UK with several overseas offices and is an independent, transparent Globally Recognised Accreditation organisation.
IEAC was awarded in 2024 the International Accreditation body of the Year 2024 by the 3rd edition of World Education & Business Conclave and Awards (WEBcon 2024)
The IEAC staff members have over 400 years of combined experience, evaluating educational institutions and working with member institutions, to foster continuous improvement.
ADL, founded in 2010, as an online distance learning school, has achieved various credentials over the years, including recognition and membership status, earning us a reputation for high quality course content, combing with our outstanding Tutor/admin support platform. Our motto “Our Students – Our Priority” is always at the forefront of all our decision making.
WHY WE CHOSE IEAC?
Over the past 10 years there has been an explosion of online learning providers, many who are excellent and some not so good! Most have various types of accreditation/recognition in some form or another.
We found the IEAC educational values aligned very close with ADL’s educational philosophy – hence why we chose IEAC to be our accrediting body.
“ADL’s educational philosophy is to focus more on learning and less on assessment; to provide a foundation in the area of study and set the student on a path to be able to continue life-long learning and adapt to change through research.”
To quote from the IEAC Webinar of June 17, 2025 titled: International Education Accreditation – What it is and What it isn’t? This webinar sums up the values of IEAC.
What Accreditation Is:
- A structured and rigorous process for ensuring educational quality and institutional credibility.
- A means to facilitate credit transfer and academic mobility for students.
- A powerful tool to enhance an institution’s global reputation and market positioning.
- A catalyst for continuous improvement in academic and administrative practices.
- A contributor to institutional research capacity building.
- A gateway to international academic and industry partnerships.
What Accreditation Is Not :
- Not an awarding body or a degree-granting authority.
- Does not guarantee employment or university admissions.
- Not a one-time checkbox; it’s an ongoing commitment to excellence.
- Not a universal, one-size-fits-all standard – context matters.
- Not a substitute for internal quality assurance mechanisms.
The IEAC brochure on page 01, confirms what the IEAC badge signifies – it is – A Mark of Excellence! ADL, was awarded this badge of distinction, and achieving a 4 star rating as an online learning institution, adds immense value to our courses and qualifications.
IEAC accreditation – what it means to a student, an employer, university placement, and places of higher & further education.
Quoting from the IEAC brochure:
“Accreditation by IEAC enhances an institution’s profile, confirming its adherence to high standards of education, welfare, and good practice. The IEAC Badge of Accreditation signifies our investment in professional, peer-reviewed teaching and a positive learning environment.”
The IEAC accreditation process, is a systematic and rigorous evaluation of an educational institution and its programs with the inherent objective of ensuring they meet specific standards of quality and effectiveness.”
If you are a Principal/President of a small or large college, university or online course provider or an independent teacher etc., looking for a quality accrediting body, that values quality teaching with a strong commitment to student welfare, then you should consider IEAC.
