The Academy for Distance Learning is pleased to announce the launch of their Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) Level 2 Principles of Plant Growth and Development course, available online now!
Changes to the Legacy RHS qualification
Many learners were left waiting in anticipation after the RHS announced changes to their legacy qualifications in March 2021. Previously, learners who wished to complete the Level 2 or 3 RHS Diploma in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture needed to study for three certificates. This included two theory-based and one practical. With each certificate consisting of four units and each unit ending in an exam, some believed the qualification needed streamlining.
New RHS Level 2 course available online now
Now, learners who wish to boost their knowledge or C.V.s can do so with the new RHS Level 2 Principles of Plant Growth and Development. The course will take them through the plant sciences. This includes nutrition and care and covers subjects such as Horticulture and Society, which helps learners understand the scope and impact horticulture has on society.
Amanda White, Vice President of the Academy for Distance Learning, said, “The new curriculum means that students can be assured they are getting an efficient and robust course that is affordable. It will equip learners with the building blocks for a future in the horticulture sector.”
