Obtain a Post-Graduate Certificate through ADL's distance learning programmes.
Professional Development Courses for Graduates offered in a wide range of subjects – these may include wildlife management, wildlife conservation, psychology, counselling, writing, business, horticulture and many more disciplines. Our professional development courses are a flexible way to expand your own studies to a post-graduate level.
Prerequisites for the Post Graduate Certificate
You will need one of the following:
- a 3,000 hr Degree plus 6 months experience
- a 2,000 + hr Diploma or other qualification plus 3 years experience
- a 1,000 + hr qualification plus 5 or more years of appropriate experience
- at least 500 hrs formal study at least 10 years appropriate experience

The Certificate is awarded upon completion of the following:
- Three Post Graduate approved modules with course codes of 200+ and 300+ (100+ codes are not acceptable)
- Research Project IV (Thesis Preparation) BGN301
Example: Environmental Studies VEN100 would not be acceptable as a module, since the course code is 100. However, Environmental Assessment BEN301, would be appropriate as it is a 300 level course.
The post-graduate certificate must be completed within eight months of first logging into your course.

We are here to help you as much as possible during the course. When you enrol, you will be allocated a mentor who will work with you through the modules and your research project.

By completing the Research Project IV (Thesis Preparation) module, you are also increasing your academic skills and writing abilities.
