Behaviour Profiling

Behaviour Profiling Foundation Course

This is an IEAC Accredited Course to help you learn and understand Behavioural Profiling.

Learn about the process of assessing an individual’s personality traits, motivations, and work styles to understand their behaviour in various situations. A behavioural profile then helps us to understand more about people and the type of people who do certain things.

For example, why does this person commit serious crime? Based on an analysis, a profile can be created, which can then include information on the offender’s demographics, psychology, and potential habits. Profilers look for behavioural clues that reveal how the offender thinks, plans, and interacts with the environment. The goal is not to identify a specific individual, but to create a behavioural portrait that helps investigators understand the type of person who may have committed the crime.

A criminal act is committed by a criminal. Why someone commits a crime is not always explained or examined in detail. ‘Why?’ is the biggest question and for some offenders, they themselves sometimes can have no real sense or reason as to what they did and why. Increasingly, law enforcement agencies are turning to behavioural profiling or criminal profiling to help find some of these answers.

There is a final assessment that can be undertaken at any time, day or night; and you will be awarded a coveted: IEAC (International Education Accreditation Council) Certificate, which will have your name on it, including full course details.
