Exams may be structured in any way.  There is no standard structure.

The purpose of an exam is for us to test how you respond when you are confronted with the unexpected.

Your final result will NOT be dependant upon the exam alone ….we take everything you have done throughout your studies into account!

You will as a rule be tested in a way as to demonstrate that you have actually retained things and developed a capacity to apply what you have studied. (For example ….for horticulture courses; we may want to see that you have a solid foundation; such as the ability to identify and make decisions about growing different types of plants).
