( Kareem, 15/05/2017 ) Q:

Hi , I am inquiring about after getting this certificate, can I work directly in Alberta, Canada. Or they will request more papers to approve this course. Thanks Kareem

( 15/05/2017 ) A:

Hello Kareem,

Thank you for getting in touch. The answer to your question depends on whether you need qualifications to practice as a Weight Loss Consultant in Canada. You don't need them in the UK and there are many unqualified practioners. By completing this course, you will be qualified and that should give you an advantage over those in Alberta, that aren't.

( Mary Freyne, 25/08/2014 ) Q: Hi there, I am interested in your Weight Loss Consultant course. I am wondering if there is a recognised qualification awarded on completion of the course. I live in Cork, Ireland and wonder if it would be recognised here. Also Im wondering if there is a location near me to do the exam mentioned on your web page. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Mary Freyne
( 28/08/2014 ) A: Hello Mary, The Weight Loss Consultant course is approved by the CMA and validated by ASIQUAL. This course is a level 4 course under the EQF. You can contact the CMA and ask them about the requirements for registering with them but they may require further training or work experience hours on top of whatever certificate they offer. You can sit your exams at your location in Ireland in the presence of an adjudicator that you have nominated.
( Bev, 12/03/2014 ) Q: Is this a certification that requires renewal? Or CECs to maintain. Is this a course that is offered internationally I live in Canada?
( 13/03/2014 ) A: Hello Bev, This course comes under the category of ''Continuous Professional Development" and is a knowledge based course. It is not within any government framework, which means that the renewal does not apply to it, it's a one off course that you take if you want to learn more about weight loss consulting. However, you can take this anywhere in the world and you can start any time also. You can email info@adlhomestudy.co.uk for more information or if you would like to clarify any further points.
( Juliette, 17/10/2013 ) Q: Hi, I am very interested in studying this course, however I have a few questions please: . is there a timeframe in which the course must be completed? As I run my own business I will have weeks where I can dedicate more time to studying, and weeks where I may have no extra time. I need to know I can complete this course in my own timeframe. . are there essays which need to be written and submitted for marking? . are there certificates available for each completed module or just the one at the end? Thank you for your kind assistance and kind regards, Juliette
( 21/10/2013 ) A: You can start and finish at any time. You are under no pressure to complete by a given date. You submit your assignments at your own convenience. At the end of each lesson there is an assignment which you complete and submit to your tutor for marking and feedback. We try to have grades back within 5 days. Before the assignee there is also a SET TASK - this where the practical aspect of the course comes in. Sometimes the Set Task is related to the assignments and other times it is simply a stand alone exercise. Once you have completed all assignments and sat for the exam (which you can do in your own location - they are usually one and a half hours long) you would be awarded a Certificate in Weight Loss Consultant BRE307. This course is a 100 hour module meaning that it is equivalent to being in a classroom setting for 100 hours. Since you run your own business and time is at a premium for you, I think studying by distance learning is an ideal way for you to gain the knowledge and skills you are seeking as you can adjust your study requirements to fit your work demands. Juliette, if you have any further questions please do submit them so we can help you as much as possible in making an informed decision. I notice you are based in beautiful New Zealand - we have quite a few students from there.
